The ZyXEL GS-108B v3 Gigabit desktop switch with eight ports is perfect for SOHOs. Thanks to the energy-saving concept, the switch consumes less than 5 watts of power and thus meets the requirements of an environmentally conscious IT infrastructure.
Version 3 of the fanless switch is characterised by even more compact dimensions. Further advantages of the switch are lower heat dissipation, the stable metal housing and durability. Air cooling is realised with convection in this desktop model in order to avoid moving parts and disruptive noise from fans.
The QoS prioritisation function is essential for the use of VoIP applications in a network. Priority means "precedence" and characterises the order in which several data packets are processed by the switch. VoIP data traffic is therefore optimally prioritised. In short: the ideal desktop switches to provide VoIP, video streaming or VPN with an optimised network infrastructure.
