The USB-C adapter card from Sonnet provides creative professionals with a simple and cost-effective way to connect two USB-C ports to a Mac Pro Tower or Windows computer with PCIe slots. The adapter can also be used on Macs or Windows computers with a Thunderbolt interface in conjunction with a Thunderbolt expansion enclosure for PCIe cards. The Allegro USB-C PCIe card simultaneously supports two devices with bus power, such as ssDs, hard drives and external DVD & Blu-ray disc drives - without an additional AC power adapter.

The Allegro USB-C PCIe card can be installed quickly and easily in any PCIe slot, no additional power supply is required. Users can connect the following devices with bus power to the ports of the Allegro USB-C: USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps), USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gbps), or USB 3.0 ssDs, ssD RAID, hard drives and other storage devices that can be powered with up to 15 watts (3.0A) per port; hubs and other USB-IF compliant devices are also supported. The Allegro USB-C card also offers independent power regulation that isolates each port to protect against interference from voltage spikes. It also features a resettable device fuse and an auto-negotiation function for PCIe data throughput to ensure 10 Gbps in any PCIe 3.0 or 2.0 slot. The card is optimised for Thunderbolt technology, ensuring full performance when installed in a Sonnet Thunderbolt chassis.
