ROLINE fibre optic cable

The ROLINE fibre optic patch cable in OM5 quality is the ideal solution for future-proof and high-performance fibre optic cabling. It offers very low attenuation and supports extremely high bandwidths of up to 100 Gbit/s, making it ideal for demanding applications such as Ethernet, Fibre Channel and OIF - even over distances of up to 150 metres. This makes it a particularly cost-effective choice for long backbones and medium-length campus connections.

The duplex cable is based on the multimode 50/125 µm OM5 fibre type and is assembled with high-quality, UPC-polished connectors that achieve excellent insertion loss and reflection values. The attenuation values are: ≤ 2.3 dB/km at 850 nm, ≤ 1.7 dB/km at 953 nm and ≤ 0.6 dB/km at 1300 nm. With a bandwidth of 4700 MHz-km and an outer diameter of 2.0 mm, the cable fulfils the highest quality requirements. The green jacket colour rounds off the high-quality design in accordance with the ROLINE standard.
