LMP's Thunderbolt 3 optical cable utilises the latest Thunderbolt technology to provide high responsiveness data and video/audio transfer at up to 40 Gbps bi-directionally with no bandwidth splitting between ports. This active optical cable can be used to daisy-chain multiple Thunderbolt devices; it transmits PCI Express as well as DisplayPort (DP Altmode) protocols. It offers low latency with high-precision time synchronisation for professional audio and video applications. The LMP Thunderbolt 3 optical cable uses a USB-C connector/plug, supports 2-lane operation and Thunderbolt 3 full duplex operation. The typical power consumption is 900mW at an operating voltage of 5V. It can be operated at temperatures of 0~50° C (ambient). Power delivery via optical cable is not possible; USB-C (USB) protocol is not supported.
