The amount of data is increasing everywhere. It is important to protect data from irrevocable loss. A hard disk failure and the resulting data loss can not only be costly, but also time-consuming if you want to recover the data. With disk mirroring (RAID 1), data is protected against disk defects.

The LMP DataBox 280 is a pre-configured Plug&Play system. In hardware RAID 1 (mirroring) mode, the data is mirrored on both hard disks to ensure better data protection, while hardware RAID 0 (striping) enables higher transfer rates by using both hard disks to read/write the data. The LMP DataBox 280 has a hot-swap and instant rebuild function. A defective hard disk can be replaced during operation (no system interruption). After inserting a new hard drive, the data is automatically restored in the background.

The LMP DataBox 280 is equipped with an easy-to-read LCM display and LED indicators for system monitoring during operation. The system status can be easily monitored at any time. In the event of a fault (e.g. hard drive failure, fan failure), the LMP DataBox 280 has both a visual and an audible alarm.

3.5" HDDs or 2.5" HDDs or SSDs are mounted on a removable slot that can be locked with a key. The LCM display and LED indicator show the status of the hard drives and the entire system, making it easy to recognise a hard drive or system failure. A fan dissipates the heat from the aluminium housing, making the LMP DataBox 280 suitable for 24/7 operation.

The interface enables a data transfer rate of up to 5 Gbit/s. The LMP DataBox 280 can be connected to any Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C/USB4) port on a Mac or PC via USB-C. In addition to the USB-C to USB-C data cable, the DataBox 280 is also supplied with a USB-C to USB-A data cable and can therefore be used universally.
