Pantone's updated CMYK Guide contains a whopping 2,868 CMYK colours in a chromatic arrangement for more intuitive colour browsing and selection. The colours are marked to show which have a colour equivalent in the PMS Formula Guide. Colours without an asterisk are unique, i.e. they are not closely matched to a spot colour in the Pantone Matching System (PMS). These unique colours are ideal for branding, packaging and materials in smaller marketing campaigns where fresh, less frequently seen colours need to be used. Each book contains thousands of unique colours with no PMS equivalent.

The CMYK guides are now calibrated to exact G7 specifications, ensuring more consistently accurate results under real-world printing conditions. Thanks to the G7-calibrated printing process, you can achieve a close match between your colour tones and the visual impression in the CMYK Guide when proofing or printing under G7 reference printing conditions.
