Power over Ethernet
With Power over Ethernet, you can supply compatible devices with power via the network cable. For end devices such as wireless access points, IP telephones and IP cameras in particular, this reduces the amount of cabling required and also gives you a high degree of flexibility when positioning the end devices.
802.3at PoE+
The IEEE 802.3at standard offers a maximum of 25.4 watts of power on each PoE+ port with a voltage of up to 50 volts. The standard assumes that 21.90 watts of usable power remain or may be consumed after line losses in order not to exceed the maximum power output. A Cat5e/6 cable with a maximum length of 100 metres is recommended for PoE+.
