The 85W MagSafe 2 power adapter
With magnetic power plug. So if someone trips over it, the cable connection simply detaches and the MacBook Pro stays where it is. It also protects the cable from damage. And the magnetic power plug ensures that the connection can be made quickly and securely.
When the connection is correct, an LED indicator on the top of the plug lights up: orange means that the notebook is charging, green means that the battery is fully charged. A mains cable is included with the mains adapter to utilise the maximum cable length. The mains wall plug (also supplied) allows easy connection to the mains when travelling.
The mains adapter is the perfect travelling companion and has a well thought-out design. The cable can be stored neatly coiled up.
This mains adapter can be used to charge the lithium-polymer battery when the system is switched on, off or in sleep mode. It also supplies the computer with power when used without a battery.
