Digital development at Münsterlingen Primary School with Apple technology

Münsterlingen Primary School, with its Scherzingen and Landschlacht sites, serves 310 pupils across 12 primary classes and 5 kindergartens. As early as 2018, it was clear: the new «Media and Informatics» curriculum module was coming—and suitable infrastructure was needed.From the outset, the goal was to equip both teachers and pupils optimally. Teaching in Cycles 1 to 4 is integrated, while Years 5 and 6 use specialised modules with dedicated teaching materials.Initially, existing laptops were used, but it soon became evident that the iPad is ideal for younger children. It’s intuitive, versatile, and—when paired with keyboards and styluses—can even function like a MacBook. Cycles 1 and 2 have customised app environments. At the request of upper-primary teachers, MacBook devices were additionally procured—for instance, for writing longer texts.The school is reliably supported both technically and pedagogically by DQ Solutions. In addition to the in-school iScout who assists with urgent issues, DQ Solutions stands as a strong partner—in planning, implementation, and ongoing development of the digital infrastructure.
