The RX1217RP from Synology is designed to expand your centralised data storage. This expansion unit allows you to gradually increase the available storage space and integrate additional hard drives into your system as required. The RX1217RP is equipped with twelve bays that enable direct expansion of your RackStation. There is no need to reformat the existing hard drives. The connection to the RackStation servers is established via a high-bandwidth expansion cable. This ensures maximum data throughput.
High security standard
The RX1217RP has been designed for uninterrupted operation around the clock. Redundant power supplies ensure a high level of reliability. If one of the PSUs should fail, the automatic fail-safe function intervenes. If you do not require continuous operation, you can set the sleep mode manually. This not only saves energy, but also protects the connected hard drives.
