Synology RS3618xs is a 2U rackmount NAS solution with 12 bays, a quad-core processor and 8 GB DDR4 RAM (expandable up to 64 GB) for the needs of large enterprises. With 10GbE link aggregation enabled, RS3618xs delivers outstanding performance with over 3900 MB/s sequential read throughput and 143,500 iSCSI random IOPS in a RAID 5 configuration. The encrypted data throughput reaches up to 2300 MB/s (read) and 1177 MB/s (write).
Simple scalability
RS3618xs offers maximum flexibility and easy scalability up to 36 drives by connecting two Synology RX1217 or RX1217RP2 expansion units. This means that the storage capacity can be expanded as required with minimal effort.
Btrfs: Next generation storage
Synology storage solutions are characterised by the Btrfs file system and provide state-of-the-art storage technology to handle the management tasks for companies.
