The Synology M.2 SSD Adapter M2D18 is designed to dramatically accelerate the I/O performance of your NAS. It significantly reduces I/O latency and increases performance for applications such as photo indexing, file searching and virtualisation environments.

The two M.2 SSD slots support both SATA and NVMe SSD for better read and write SSD caching and ensure that more primary hard drive bays can be reserved for data storage. The attachable heat sink improves the heat dissipation of the M.2 SSD and ensures system stability with outstanding performance. Flexible support for 2280/2260/2242 form factors and various SSD options ensure you are not limited to one vendor.
