The SpeechMike Premium Touch is the latest innovation from Philips. Equipped with a decoupled studio-quality premium microphone, an integrated filter that minimises ambient noise, a hygienic surface and a motion sensor, it enables crystal-clear speech recordings for optimal speech recognition results. Work more comfortably with the new touch sensor for easier navigation.

Studio-quality decoupled microphone for precise recordings

The free-floating microphone is decoupled from the unit's housing, ensuring that almost no noise is picked up by background activity, touch, clicks, air or structure-borne sound. This technology, which originates from studio microphones, prevents sound distortion and optimises speech recognition results.

Microphone grille with optimised structure and integrated pop filter for crystal clear sound

Specially designed hexagonal openings in the metal cover provide three times the open surface area of the previous model for crystal-clear recordings. Non-woven fabric above and below the microphone capsule filters out sound distortions such as pop or sibilance, enabling perfect recording results even when dictating close to the microphone.

Large speaker area for high-quality reproduction

The SpeechMike Premium Touch is equipped with an extra-large speaker so that recordings made with it can be played back clearly and without interference.

Native Nuance speech recognition support for easy 'plug and play' installation

Designed to work seamlessly with Nuance speech recognition, the Philips SpeechMike is also supported by leading hospital information systems (HIS), radiology information systems (RIS) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS). Native, built-in support for these systems allows users to simply plug in and start using the device immediately, with no additional installation steps required.

Ergonomic shape for the perfect position in the hand

Thanks to its ergonomic shape, the unit fits perfectly in the hand and misoperation is less likely to occur. The shutter release and the control button on the back of the unit are positioned so that they can be easily reached with the fingers.

Comfortable operation with wear-free slide switch or push buttons

The SpeechMike Premium Touch is available with both a wear-free slide switch and push buttons. The slide switch has a slightly ribbed surface, which makes operation easier and particularly pleasant and intuitive. Thanks to its proven slide switch, it is also completely wear-free.

Barcode scanner to simplify documentation

The SpeechMike Premium Touch is also available with an integrated barcode scanner. Client or patient data can be linked to the respective recording by simply scanning a barcode. The scanned information is automatically attached to the dictation file, optimising the documentation process. All identifying information is recorded correctly, which increases security and helps to save costs.
