Pipetto
Pipetto began in 2007, founded by Chantal Therien, on the Portobello Market in London’s famous Notting Hill, selling handmade and embellished leather belts. A year later, Rodnik took notice, and the belts were showcased in New York, London and Milan. Magazines such as Vogue, LondonPaper and InStyle reported on Pipetto. In 2009, with the help of seed funding, the product range was expanded to include luxury leather sleeves for MacBooks, marking Pipetto’s first entry into retail stores. Thanks to the success of the MacBook sleeves, the range was extended in 2010 to include iPhone and iPod cases. More and more retailers across the UK – including well-known names such as Harrods and John Lewis – added Pipetto to their assortment. Later, iPad cases joined the line-up. Today, Pipetto is represented worldwide with more than 2 million units sold.
