The fi-800R is designed from the ground up for fast and smooth document capture in areas such as customer contact, for example patient admissions in hospitals or hotel receptions. It requires very little floor space and reliably extracts data from passports (including machine-readable areas), ID cards and A4 documents.

Two-way functionality

The fi-800R has two possible scan paths: you can choose to scan multi-page, double-sided document stacks via the ADF feeder with reversing mechanism or, as a special highlight, the manual single-sheet feeder with document return. This also processes ID cards and passports - without any carrier foils or paper guide changes. These are inserted and ejected at the front of the device. The documents remain in the customer's field of vision, which supports compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation and gives customers a sense of security

Fast and reliable

The fi-800R captures up to 40 double-sided A4 documents per minute. The reliable paper feed mechanisms help to avoid unnecessary delays. Automatic skew correction straightens documents before scanning. The active separation technology enables very precise paper separation by adjusting the pressure on the individual sheets depending on their thickness. This minimises time-consuming repetitions of the scanning process and document damage.

Comprehensive software package

In addition to all common scanner drivers (TWAIN, ISIS, WIA) for seamless compatibility, other efficiency-enhancing software solutions are also included: "PaperStream Capture" uses patch and barcodes to automatically name, sort and distribute documents as well as extract information for various post-scan processes. "ABBYY FineReader" offers a powerful solution for OCR and document conversion.

D-ADF: large documents digitised in no time at all
