Basel Public Transport
For an economic and cultural city like Basel, efficient public transportation is indispensable. With its dense network of routes and short intervals, BVB has been promoting the mobility of people in the city and the surrounding agglomeration for 125 years, connecting Basel with neighboring countries. It helps to relieve road traffic and thus contributes to a high quality of life and environmental conservation.
Modern and innovative.
To ensure the sustainable success of the company, BVB continuously modernizes its fleet and will convert the entire bus fleet to electric buses by 2027. In addition, it invests in innovative solutions that make work easier for employees. As part of its digitalization, BVB has therefore procured around 900 iPads for the staff in the driving service.
The iPad as a daily work tool.
With the use of iPads, processes have been optimized and the preparation time for the transport service staff has been significantly minimized. Information that used to be laboriously collected on paper is now automatically transferred to the iPad.

Zero-Touch Deployment.
With zero-touch deployment, it was and is possible to quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively roll out the iPads directly to all staff. After just five days, about 70 percent of all devices were already successfully operational, and there were hardly any logistical returns among the 900 devices delivered.
Why DQ Solutions?
"The collaboration with DQ-Solutions was very cooperative and straightforward. DQ-Solutions proved to be very agile and provided strong support to BVB, especially in the development of the shipping process, which turned out to be more complex than anticipated. The project also experienced smooth handling thanks to DQ-Solutions."
