Description
Cisco Meraki Access Point MR46
Meraki Cloud Managed WiFi-6 Access Point MR-46
The Cisco Meraki MR46 is a cloud-managed 4x4:4 802.11ax access point that raises the bar for wireless performance and efficiency. Designed for next-generation deployments in offices, schools, hospitals, shops and hotels, the MR46 delivers high throughput, enterprise-grade security and ease of management. The MR46 offers a maximum data throughput of 3.5 Gbps using both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios simultaneously. A dedicated third radio provides real-time WIDS/WIPS with automatic RF optimisation, and a fourth integrated radio provides Bluetooth scanning and beaconing. With the combination of cloud management, high-performance hardware, multiple radio units and advanced software features, the MR46 is an excellent platform for the most demanding applications - including high-density, high-bandwidth deployments or performance-intensive applications such as voice and high-definition video.
WLAN standard 802.11ax / WiFi-6
The 802.11ax standard is the next generation of the Wi-Fi standard, which has been under continuous development for years and introduces yet another innovation with this version, also known as Wi-Fi 6. The standard builds on the advantages of the 802.11ac standard and adds efficiency, flexibility and scalability. This enables higher speeds and capacities for next-generation applications, both in new and existing networks.
Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO)
Multi-User MIMO technology was introduced as part of the Wave 2 evolution of the 802.11ac standard. By utilising Multi-User MIMO, this device can stream data to multiple devices simultaneously. This allows your Wi-Fi network to deliver faster throughput to each connected client. This means faster downloads and lag-free streaming for your devices.
Easy installation thanks to PoE
This network-enabled device is powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE) via the LAN cable. The main advantage of PoE is that you do not need a power supply cable. This allows you to install Ethernet-connected devices even in hard-to-reach places or in areas where a lot of cables would get in the way. You save installation costs and can increase the reliability of the connected devices by using a central uninterruptible power supply (UPS) if required.
